Disney DVD Linelook
This is a line look concept I created for Disney movies that reflects a key component of the movie and highlights the main character with a die cut flap. The element shapes are foil and embossed to catch the consumers eye and an iconic quote from the movie is featured on the inside. I chose just four movies to apply my concept to, but it could be applied to all the Disney movies as a special edition sleeve!

Sketches
I came up with three unique concepts, and this ended up being the strongest one because it highlights a character and could easily be applied to any movie. Originally I was going to only focus on water, but I changed my idea to work with other elements as well (plants, technology, and magic).
Vector Work
From my sketches, I made each cover in Adobe Illustrator using the pen tool and shapes. I then put each character in their window cutout with a background from the movie.
Photoshop
I used Photoshop to add all the effects and made my own mockup. For the water shapes, I added a bevel and emboss, inner glow, and gradient overlay for a shimmering effect. There is also a custom foil texture I made in a clipping mask over the shapes. I used smart objects to build the case, the DVD mockups are from Envato Elements.
